I'm sorry to hear that Scott and thanks for the reminder.
After working to help others pull through bad times and for so many years it's so sad that a policy has denied the same for her. Medical care, food, and transportation are some of the things that define quality-of-life in a first-world country and seems to be lacking. There are people who've beaten it through economical alternative medicines and the body/mind is the best medicine.
I hope she'll qualifiy for medicaid and the two of you can have quality time together without bankrutpcy etc..
