yes.
-disconnect battery for at least 20 minutes (to get rid of any residual voltage)
-loosen 2 Torx30 bolts from behind wheel that hold airbag in place.
-pull airbag slightly away from steering wheel unhook yellow connector from rear of airbag.
-break the 24mm nut loose on steering shaft
-center wheels, and level steering wheel. mark 12 o'clock on the shaft
-remove horn contact wires from steering wheel
-remove nut/washer from steering shaft
-remove steering wheel.
Installing the 996 wheel is a reverse procedure of the above.
