Interestingly, the legend of St. Christopher is just that, a legend. It's certainly not a bible story, and the facts around the legend are foggy. Still, St. Christopher medals in cars and around necks will always give me comfort.
BTW, holy water has a tiny bit of salt added. The priest at my parish loves animals, and leaps at the chance to bless pets of any kind. YOu can have almost anything blessed. Just ask.
