I took a 1968 150 model, transplanted a 180 Hp engine that had been balanced and polished by a company (now defunct) in Buffalo NY, installed an entire Corsa interior and external trim. Used the '66 tail lights (liked them better than the '65), painted the thing GM "Bright Red", and drove it from 1986 through 1992. Sold it and ten years later it was till running and up for sale again because the owner was moving from Rochester NY to Cleveland and didn't have enough room in the new digs. That engine is tough to destroy, can be tuned in white gloves, and the oil filter can be removed without spilling a drop.. What WERE they thinking of..a user friendly car.

W...The "early" and ";ate" suspension systems are light years apart. Even "Unsafe at any Speed" admits that....

I keep hoping GM will bring it back someday.."the poor man's Porsche"
