Unfortunately this article doesn't give a clear or complete enough picture of the cabbie situation. How can they "insist" on a flat rate? They can't force cabis to change their rates. Would it be more accurate to say the Dems are offering or negotiating a flat rate?...a very common business pratice. And who are they insisting with? The union, city or cab companies?
Also:
"As John Kerry touts Democrat support for the middle class, his party is slamming the very middle class he claims to be helping.
Take cab drivers, for example."
