I just ask the seller nicely before I bid on an item and usually they say they will ship to me. Did you try that? Do not bid and then ask. If you did ask nicely and they will not ship, I'd just look for the item elsewhere. From what I know it is not that much more paperwork or time to ship to Canada from the USA, especially if it is a small item. I use USPS priority whenever I can over UPS.
