Divided Soul, The Life of Marvin Gaye by David Ritz (excellent and heartbreaking), and
"Q" the autobiography of Quincy Jones (excellent and uplifting), and
Letters to a Young Contrarian by Christopher Hitchens (good book for the Pelican OT brawler),
and
Jews Who Rock by Guy Oseary (amusing and informative register of the enourmous contribution of Jewish people to popular culture + my good friend wrote it).
