I was washing the car yesterday and I started to get annoyed at the "Carrera RS" decal on the ducktail. I differentiate that designation from the Carrera side decals, since the side decals are really just styling extras and have been used on many 911s. But the rear decal is an actual model designation. My car may finally have reached a performance level where it's not embarassed to wear the flares, wider rear rubber, oil cooler bumper and tail. But calling it a Carrera RS is just too much--really pretending to be something it's not. So I peeled off the RS.
Of course, now it looks dumb with just the offset "Carrera" on the back--that should probably come off too. Any suggestions as to what (if anything) I should put on the back? There's not too much "911E" left, so that's not right. Maybe the later script style "911" logo? Maybe just an "RS"? Maybe just leave it bare, except for the PORSCHE stripe?
