I think, since you were doing a replica, the RS would be fine, and looks cool. But, with it off I think just the Carrera is fine as well.

If you could get another decal for that, I would remove the old Carrera and center the new one splitting the difference with the removed RS... That way it appears in the correct spot symetrically as the full Carrera RS and doesn't look out of place. That is what I intend to do on my 84 once I paint my tail.

I still think the RS would be really cool too. Who cares if it's an original... It's your car... AND your paying good homage to a great car...
