I am so close to being able to start my 356 (912) engine I can smell it. Here's a few I can't find answers to:

I need to run the spark plug wires from the plugs to the dizzy, what is the order?

On the fuel pump, I have two barbs coming out of the pump. One points towards the rear of the car, the other towards the front. Which one gets the fuel line from the tank, which one goes to the carbs?

My generator doesn't have a strap around the part where the wires connect. Should I have a strap there to protect it?
