911 As Fishing Car
So I drove from the bay Area up to the Yuba River yesterday to do a bit of fishing. And had a revelation.
The 911 isn't a half bad fishing car. Sure, it can't hold a strung-up flyrod and lacks a tailgate to sit on, but the reality is that a day of stream fishing for me is as much driving as fishing, and the blast up 80 and then out the 49 and 20 was fun. It wasn't even too bad on crappy dirt roads, as long as I placed the wheels carefully.
The fishing - that was another story. Will try again in a couple weeks, the North Fork this time.
