I am buying a set of Fuchs from a Canadian seller. He does not use paypal, & is suggesting I pay by bank-to-bank wire transfer to his US account. Does this method have any protection at all for the buyer? I assume it’s possible to verify the account name with the bank by the # he gives me (to verify its not a case of ID fraud- email hijacking etc.)
Would I be better off using a cashiers check? I know a USPS postal order doesn’t work as the max amount is $700 for international transactions.
I have bought from the seller once before with no problems, so I guess my main concern would be
1/ ID theft.
2/ careless misrepresentation of rims
