The car gets compliments all the time... even here in jaded Porschedom LA.
2 pretty funny ones were in the past 2 days.
Yesterday, I was in a traffic jam on the 10 trying to hit the 405 South coming home from work after a PCH jaunt through Malibu...
In the lane next to me was this lowered Riced-out Pickup Truck with 3 young Hispanic Teens inside thumpin some urban rap music....kinda like this one but without the stripes
They had a Mr. Microphone or something and I hear this voice crackle out "Hey...Nice Car Man!" I look over and the three Hispanic Teens are giving me the thumbs up.
I didnt know they cared.
Then today... I pull into a clients office in Ventura, and am getting out. 3 youths, about age 10 are riding their bikes around the parking lot. The blonde kid says
"Hey Poorrssh 911! Cool! My Grandpa has one of those!"
Boy that made me feel young.
He was sincere about it though, because I was in my clients office and I looked out the window to see the kids gathered around the back end of my car. The blonde kid was pointing at the Carrera emblem and showing the kids something....maybe talking about the engine in the back.
So I felt good about passing the legacy on to the young generation Z...
