Man Actually Picks-Up Woman Using Mr. Microphone
by Terry Y. Loh

Chesterville, WA - Thirty-one year old Devon Paxwell was observed using a 'Mr Microphone,' while driving down Franco street in his convertible 1973 Dodge Dart Wednesday afternoon. He was reported to have been saying things like, "I'll be back for you later, Good lookin'," the line made famous by the early eighties television commercial that made the product famous. Paxwell was later observed taking down the phone number of 33 year-old bank worker Jennifer Conlin.

"It's true, I did give him my number," admitted Conlin. "Well, he did say that he'd be back for me later, and he came back. That has to count for something. And he did say I was good looking." When corrected in that she was called "good lookin'" and not "good looking," Conlin said, "Whatever."

Catching up to Paxwell for comment was difficult, due to the fact that he seems to spend most of his time driving around town, blaring out comments through his badly distorting A.M. radio.

"What?" yelled Paxwell after this reporter finally caught up with the elusive four-wheeled, modern-day electronic Cassanova. "You're going to have to speak up. I'm a little deaf from having the radio turned up so loud!"

"I've been using the Mr. Microphone ever since it first came out in 1981," commented Paxwell, "Yeah, I've been really successful with it! How many women have I picked up with it? Lots! Well, just the one, actually, but that's pretty good, I think!"

"I'm just waiting for the version that will work over cell phones. Then I'll really be cookin'!" said Paxwell. As the light turned green and Paxwell's car drove away, he concluded by saying, "See you later reporter dude." over his car radio.
