I find that young kids love my cars - 964 and 944. Interesting, I was reading the Ferrarichat BBS and they have the same experience. Kids go nuts over F-cars too. So one F-car owner actually keeps matchbox replicas of his car in the glove compartment to give to interested kids. I thought that was a TOTALLY cool idea. I have yet to find any gray 944 matchbox cars

but I hope to find some red 964 models.
Funny story: One of the neighborhood kids recently came over to tell me I had a cool car. He is maybe 5 years old. He asked me how fast it would go and I said "Over a hundred miles an hour." and it blew his mind. Of course he has no idea what it means but it sounded really fast. So I said, "I'm gonna add a quart of oil. Do you wanna see the motor?" and he enthusiastically said, "Yeah !!". So I walked to the back of the car as he walked to the front (kind of like a Marx Brothers skit). When he realized I was poking my head in the "trunk", he walked back, stuck his head around to see the engine in the rear and said, "That is so weird."
