I would like some suggestions regarding the fabrication of these seat hinges (for lack of a better word) that have rusted up and busted on my brand new'73 2.0. There is a great tech article here regarding fabricating the brackets that weld to the pan, but the only mention of the hinges suggests using old ones, and I have seen none for sale. This is such a simple thing, I am almost ashamed to bring it up here, except I'm sure someone somewhere has some experience in this area, and there is always value in someone else's ideas. So tell me, what is the proper combination of common hardware store nuts-and-bolts to make this job easy? Thanx in advance.
