Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.
Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them."

Yep, the above description (from 2000 years ago) basically sums up my close proximity understanding of homosexuality.
That said, the Bible makes little distinction between fornicators and homosexuals...It describes they are both sinners and better flee from sexual immorality (homo or heterosexual) because it is deadly to one's soul.

I think you're missing an important point, Mul.
The above quote from the Bible doesn't show the whole picture. You see:
God hates SIN, but he loves the SINNER. He's done everything in his power (including dying for us) to show this! Talking about the wrath of God without mentioning His grace is selling God short.
If I honesly apply the Bible to my life, I need to live by that standard as well. Thus, while I do not condone homosexual behavior, I
try my best to cast no judgement upon someone who is gay. Unfortunately, all too often I don't try hard enough.
I am not trying to ram my beliefs down someone's throat here, just trying to clarify what I believe the Bible teaches.
Interesting discussion here.
