ive got a great oppurtunity to buy a 1969 licoln continental for $1000.
My brother in law to be bought it about 2 years ago from the original owner. hes got about $7000 into it. he just moved to the city and cant drive it any more and is having some money problems.
it was 'stripped and dipped' in '88. no accidents, no rust.
problems i know about: its got close to 100k miles, tear in the front seat, A/C doesnt work, and some electrical issues. power locks dont work, it has a cold start problem (battery i assume).
anyone know about problems areas with these cars? are parts hard to find? is the electrical something i should worry about.

im worried about getting into the same sort of trap i got into with the 944 (****ty electrical, expensive parts, laxk of mechanics in the know etc)
i would apprecitte anyone who knows about these, or who could point me to the pelican parts of american classics. thanks guys!
