The chances of ultra-leftist, (or ultra-rightist), Federal judge appointments is pretty much nil under either guy. But it doesn't stop Bush from trying.
The way I read it, (can't remember where), is that the far-right cultural conservatives made a deal w/ Bush: Give us the courts and we'll lay off the abortion issue so that you can get elected. (Or appointed by the Supreme Court as the case may be).
