What? Where do you get a light weight flywheel for a 968? The single sensor system requires the large lugs on the circumfrance of the flywheel and these have to be steel for the sensor to work.
As to rotation speed; while the single sensor is a very basic impulse design I think it's more than able to keep up with the changes in RPM's as well as the DME logic.
If you could post the links to where you found your information I sure would like to read it.
