I have no idea where people get the impression Porsches are quick off the line.

Porsches have always been mid-pack among sports cars in acceleration.

The advantage for Porsches is handling and brakes and in general, being good in every aspect of performance.

Do a little research on the cars you pick to race (should you decide it's prudent to risk that). The Cayenne was driven around the Nurburgring, as I recall, faster than all but a handfull of Porsches ever have been.
