Lee, I agree. This post was kind of humorous:
"QUOTE (Scott94Z28 @ Aug 3 2004, 04:57 AM)
I would like to take this opportunity to bring a couple things to the table about this situation. A lot of you are talking about immaturity, profanity, threats and intimidation, closing AMP's doors and the like. A mature person would realize that there are always two sides to every story. In some cases there may even be three sides to a story. Your side, his side, and the truth of what really went on. Have any of you ever heard the phrase innocent until proven guilty?
I have read over everyones comments on three different automotive related websites based out of Arizona in regards to this situation. In none of them have I seen AMP's side of the story represented and or brought out for the world to see. Do you think that may be for a reason? Against legal counsell? Or just letting you dig yourself your own grave by slandering a business over the internet?
Before all of you jump on the bandwagon and wipe AMP from the face of the planet, realize you have not heard the whole story. That is all that I am suggesting." (end of Scotts original post)
Another member replies:
"Have you ever looked up the definition of slander?
Well i have...
And i have already been in contact with a Lawyer who SPECIALIZES in slander....
slander:
- 1. Law. Oral communication of false statements injurious to a person's reputation.
2. A false and malicious statement or report about someone.
Everything that has been told about the story is TRUE. (And it would take a court and a judge to prove that it isnt true). We have all lived here forever and have been into Mustangs forever, and this shop has been crooked forever..."
