why not a compromise? take out your map and draw a straighter line through the country. at least make it a bigass "L". looks like you are adding alot of miles backtracking back down the west coast.

nevertheless, if my car was up to the task, i would go for it. sounds like you have a long time of "listening to mom", coming up anyways. you may as well put in a session of crazy independence before the "sentence" starts.
