Hendrix is but a vessel.. he's my desert island pick
Pink Floyd.. UmmaGumma, Meddle, DSotM, Animals, WYWH, The Wall.. just awesome
Every Zep album is a classic from start to finish.. with very few exceptions..
Jethro Tull.. I love celtic, bluesy stuff (see Zep)
Rush.. Exit Stage Left.. just freaky good.. I've listened to it hundreds of times
Sabbath.. Symptom of the Universe? just too heavy..
Frank Zappa.. soooo many great albums.. start with Apostrophe/Overnight Sensation
10 Years after.. Alvin Lee was the man "No Soloution! World Pollution!"..
Mountain.. Leslie West would sing, then stop.. move the mic off to the side, and just riff.. very cool band
The Who.. some of the most enduring anthems ever.. great songs
Beatles.. not the early stuff.. my mom likes that.. but the last few albums are just amazing.. John Lennons solo stuff is just beautiful
Yardbirds.. Clapton, Beck, Page.. what else do you need?
Clapton.. whethere it's D&tD's or John Mayall, or Cream or Blind Faith.. he always plays great
Jeff Beck.. the best phrasing a guitar has ever produced.. Blow by Blow, Wired, Beckola, Truth, Live with Jan Hammer.. wow
Miles Davis.. not rock.. so what.. took me a while to wrap my head around it but when I did.. it was like I had heard music for the first time..
Albert King.. where the hell did he get that stuff from? he didn't.. we all got it from him
SRV.. see Albert King.. the thing about Stevie was that he never thought for a minute about what he played.. it just flowed
This is stupid I could be here for weeks...
