I was lucky enough to see Hendrix three times before he left, way way back in the sixties. It was an Experience, for lack of a better word, that I will never forget. Truly a master. Another real mind-opener was seeing Cream back around 66 or 67 at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit. that show was truly a Religious Experience ! That free form British Blues Band changed me forever. Word has it that there will be a Cream reunion possibly in 05, as soon as Jack Bruce recovers from his liver transplant sugury. Clapton nixed Bruces efforts for a reunion a few years ago, but word is he has promised Bruce a reunion pending a recovery his 03 transplant operation. To this day, nothing is quite like a late night run along the Ocean in the Cab, blasting " I Feel Free " don't know, but it has always worked for me. Doug
