OK well if no one wants to fess up then I get to tell my side of the story.
It's around 9:00 pm and I'm leaving work. I'm headed north on the 405 nearing the 118. I look to my left and two lanes over is a late model turbo carrera. Black w/black wheels and dark tinted windows. In fact the only thing bright on this car were the super whites illuminating the road ahead of it. It sat lower than stock and had a rumble to the exhaust tone that implied it was capable of being fast (fast is an understatement). Because he looked like he was going to stay on the 405 north I flexed a little of the 3.2 TRE Motorsports prepped muscle I had available, just for fun right?
Well he changes lanes, he's now with me on the transition to the 118 east. Ever get that sinking feeling like you've just picked on someone twice your size and now it's time to pay the piper?Only he gets blocked by traffic and I squirt ahead and get about a half mile on him. I'm casually cruising along under 80 when out of nowhere he blasts past me doing about Mach 2. We engage in a couple lane changes and now it's me caught in a rolling road block of SUV's and retail automotive history. We're nearing the 210 east international raceway but I resist the temptation and exit at Glenoaks to head home like a good boy.
This was the end of this meeting and you can bet there will be others.
I know your out there Mr."Mastar Closer" Perhaps next time we meet I'll be in my 140 hp Yenko Corvair. Then we'll see who's the boss!
