on the flywheel subject vw911 is right there are different flywheel sizes out there. If you are running the stock tranny I would recommend a 210 T-4 flywheel you may have to grind the tranny a little bit but not too much. Only a 215mm flywheel if your motor is making more than 150hp or more. as far as clucth disc go use the disc that matches the flywheel. A T-1 disc will work BUT!! the surfaces don't match up right. You cannot use a 914 flywheel in a VW tranny but if you run a porsche tranny you must run a 914 flywheel.
If you are running a VW tranny the BEST flywheel is made by Kennedy Adapters it cost $200 and an extra $40 for lightening. It use T-1 pessure plate a disc. The advantage of this is the veriatey of clutch set-ups you can run for stock 200mm to 2100lbs four puck clutch. Also you don't have to remove any material from the tranny
