Gentlemen.. may I cut the pol bs for a brief visit?
The current labor laws have been very successful for many many reasons.. The laws were instituted when market economics were very different than today. Flexibility within mgt and labor founded in a flexible eco system allowed a win win overall since the 1930's. Significant movement since the 1970's leaned to a raising of "work", as it's roughly defined, productivity. The markets are now intertwined on an international scale. The concept of this "work" is becoming more defined by a new scale.
If we can discount who will absorb the shocks of any change, then it can be stated that re-defined labor laws will allow a greater dynamic and successfully competitive US economic system overall. Naturally change will eventuall happen again in the far future..
This US system will continue to be the world's greatest because of it's flexibility. It will adapt.
