Check out Hot VW's advertiser European Motorworks. They sell just the down pipes in 1 5/8 tubing zinc-plated for $165. Then try a 412 side exit header with what ever kind of muffler or custom tip you want. Not very expensive and fuctional for performance still. Good option for now until there is a supplier in the states for BAS or just order one and pay freight.
