I believe you need an early 912 flywheel and broden tube. You also need to fabricate a front trans mount and cut a hole lower in the bacl of the tunnel. The book "VW Beeetle Performance Guide" I think that's the name (It's a blue book with a Beetle on the cover) has a section that discusses this.
