In the 1920s, the eastern Jewish vote was 80% Republican. In the 1930s the Jewish bloc vote shifted to the Democrats because (most likely) of Roosevelt's opposition to the Nazi regime.
I would not be too disturbed by Kerry rubbing shoulders with that racist buffoon Sharpton. If Kerry gets elected, Sharpton will not get the time of day from a Kerry Administration. Kerry also pretends to be a protectionist when talking to the appropriate audience, but his political history shows he is a free trader, and would likley remain so if elected.
