they don't believe in a real leader. T Kennedy is pure in his position, no bs with him. Ralph N is the clearest and most defined, but his politics sucks. The Dem Conv is the clearest sign of a two-tier party. Hollywood got the VIP room. B Clinton married the Dems to a politiicized Hollywood. The days of AFL-CIO/blue collar/Democrats are over. The labor unions had a party at the Conv downstairs.
The Dem party has lost its birthright as the labor representative.
It's now a party of special interests that are not bound together by any ideals. Champions of civil rights prevent school vouchers, High quality judges get filibustered because he's Hispanic and would be a threat to ethnic politics, trial&tort lawyers having more control of Senate Dems, etc.
Anyway, Dem anger will eventually prove to be the rantings of a group in the process of being displaced.
so now Kerry has the job of appealing to serious Dems while driving the magic bus that's singing "the Eve of Destruction".
