Yes the Dieseltechnology made the fastest steps in the last 20 years. I guy named Piech keppt pushing that. He was the first wo made a "fast" Diesel and a car Turbo Diesel ( sold in Mercedes ) and later pushed the Turbodiesels. Right now you need a Audi double Turbo RS to outperform the same engine as Diesel version. They just pull like big Mack trucks without trailer.
Now Mercedes is leading the battle with the new 4,2 V8. They had to wait for a special reinforced trany that will survive the 80 mkg tourqe peak. They used a truck trany for testdriving and that thing was to heavy and fat to beat the new A8 TDI or BMW CDI V8´s.
Well the A8 Diesel is capable doing 14 sec runs and some tuners have +30% HP power shoots on hand. Those engines and the new trany where developed by Porsche and rumors say they will come in euro Chyenne.
Car world is a bit complicatet to understand for normal people. This boards here feature ancient technology but I have to keep ahead with the new stuff. I´m working in other car construction boards and use the simple way to get new informations and the local librarys. This is the only way to keep up and find a good payed job even if I can´t turn a wrench. I can´t make a living with the old Porsche stuff. And my funds will run out soon.
Now that specific story is about throttle less fuelers using the valve lift and duration to choke the engine and coming full magnetic valve operation.
I´m just waiting for the google robots. I testet several onlinetranslaters but nothing comes secound to google.
