With the Clio, I think that it must be bought on its looks alone. During its development (TWR I think), it gained a fair bit of weight. The performance is not as so far removed from the Clio Sport 172 that costs half as much! In the UK they wanted about £30,000 for them - a WRX Subaru (220bhp not 280) could be had for £8,000 less!
I loved the idea of the Clio, liked the look of it, but am a bit disappointed with the reality.
