MMARSH: Afghanistan does not sound like a very nice place, I'd like to avoid it if at all possible. I think you either misunderstand me, or are so brainwashed by our government that you can not think critically of them. And if I may quote Benjamin Franklin: "Those who desire to give up freedom in order to gain security, will not have, nor do they deserve, either one. " This is a man I respect and admire very much (as I do many founders of this nation). You know, there were people at one time who questioned the actions of their government, and they made a better, more accepting place for all to live. They went by the names of Washington, Jeffereson, Adams, and the countless other names that our ingraned in our memories of American history. Sometimes I think people just forget to step back, take a look at history, and try to avoid the problems that were caused and repeat the good that so many have done.
