At this point in time, I don't think that even these laws have been violated. Maybe they have stepped slightly over the bounds when it comes to our right for privacy, but I don't see our freedom of speech, religion, due process of law...etc. being 'violated' by the government. I think it is not appropriate to jump to that conclusion. And I pray that our nations will have the wisdom to refrain from pushing our freedoms that far.

Like I said above, our "rules of engagement" overshadow our "rules of the land." We are battling against terrorists both abroad and within our nation's borders. These rules are necessary in order to find and hunt down the terrorists. We cannot just target such terrorists directly, because they are hidden in the fabric of our society! So at the cost of some of our freedom, our liberties, the goverment will be more effective in their campain against the evil doers.

This different type of war calls for a different type of strategy, a different attack.

Interesting discussion this is becoming. Where's Jack Olsen and Roland? I am curious as to what they will say...
