Honestly, you're going to have a blast! You will probably run into some crew members or drivers that own a Porsche or 2. Get a very close look at the cars. And have someone go over the technicals at the same time. Oh, and don't mention "cheating". It's only cheating if you get caught. If they bring it up, pry a little to see what kinds of things they do.
And if you get to meet Darrell Waltrip, he really is a great guy. You will be hard pressed to find another "celebrity" that's as down to earth or normal as he. Tell him you got a buddy from Bristol. I used to work at the track. His wife would write a payer on a slip of paper for Dale Earnhardt Sr for each race and the Waltrips always parked their RV next to the Earnhardts.
One last thing. I like you and your opinions (wrong as they are
) but try to leave the politics in your car. Just enjoy yourself. I think you will be surprised at just how large an event it is. You are very lucky and fans across the country would JUMP at the opportunity that you are going enjoy. Myself included.
