there is a 1973 914-4 gauge with the center silver button (had one/have one in car i own). like the console temp gauge, it has a larger red area for a '73 and there is a 1974 gauge without center silver button with smaller red area (also like the console gauge for 74). in the picture on the right where it states it is a -4 gauge, i believe it is actually a -6 temp gauge and that is because of the markings on the beginning of the scale and the end of the scale are -6 gauge markings. -4 gauge markings are different, like in the pix id'ed as a '74 gauge.
