No, the UN sanctions prohibited selling arms to Iraq. It is little wonder they were defiant to the UN since most of it's own members totally disregarded any sanctions...and apparently just looked upon them as way to sell their inferior weapons without competition.
No wonder "the world" did not back us in Iraq....."the weasels" were in bed with Saddam.
Our "friends" continued to sell arms to Saddam even after we went to war. Perhaps we should send our "friends" some of our weapons.
