are zombies particularly strong? can they wield an ax to break down doors? they usually seem lethargic.
I also second the humvee choice (I'd go w/ the p'up truck version so you have a nice and open firing platform out back, and you could really pile up the home depot stuff quickly too) I think flame throwers would be most effective, even the home made kind.
For stopping power, the shotgun w/ the big-ass drum underneath it would do. And a bunch of sniper rifles for those times when you get bored and feel like having some fun, friendly competition from the balcony. It would be like a shooting gallery LOL
