Simple equation: it he'd had WMDs, he would have used them.
He didn't.
He didn't have the means to produce them.
He may have had 'programs to produce WMDs' but since when is stopping a 'program' worth a single American life? A 'program' could be a PowerPoint presentation of all the things SH needed to create WMDs.
And what WMD were we supposed to fear most? GWB and his boys (and girl) said it was a nuke. But SH was well known to not have any nuclear capability and in fact was estimated to be 10-12 years from being able to produce bomb # one.
Sorry, not worth a single American life. Period.
