i want to DIY. as some my know, i salvaged approx. 4000 feet of teak 2x4's. i want to do my flooring in the free wood. my plan is to rip them, plane them, tongue and groove. i may as well rip the walls and floor out, and start from scratch. i installed new tile, and i went crazy putting down hardibacker with a bazillion fasteners. i cannot imagine getting them out. some new plumbing, cabinets and countertops, some new appliances, i am done. seems easy on paper, am i insane? i figured 1.5 months of living with my fridge in the living room.

all this because i have some free teak.
