I can second this one. I got nailed in NJ for having a few too many. This is a pretty expensive deal in NJ. But I was super nice and cooperative with the Staties, even while refusing a breathalyzer. While they were papering me, we chatted about guns for a while and then they actually drove me home about 10 miles and said they wouldn't have my car towed. When I got to court months later, State Police report described me as friendly, cooperative, professional, calm, etc., which made the prosecutor offer me a sweetheart deal. He asked the cops if they minded, they agreed and I got a mild slap on the wrist. Now I am the nicest guy in the world when I get pulled over.
