I'm with Randy on this one.

The recommended Racor has an internal filter and rated at marine 100psi. I'm not sure of the internal filter micron size or if there is a micron size option?

I use the Racor with the spin on filter, although it's not recommended due to the marine low psi design. It's rated at about 10psi, although I've had it at 60psi without leaking when installing for the first time. It has a water trap and an optional water alarm. I use the 2 micron filter. Routine good filters are 10 microns.. some filter designs are 20-30 microns, which is to dirty for carbs imo.

I don't think a filter before the pump is a good design for rotary cell pumps.

I mentioned marine 'cause it's a stricter compliance factor.
