There was a bit of firewood cutting here last month. I was worried that some trees might fall on a neighbor's house during a severe Sou'Wester, so eight trees were taken out. 1 pine, 1 Lombardi Poplar, 1 black walnut, and 5 fir. The stump most visible in the pic is one of the fir, trunk dia. 36", 60' feet long on the log. Don't let the sierra clubbers con you...fir grows pretty quickly in Oregon. I planted these as foot high seedlings 27 years ago.
