The first generation CRV received low marks in their mini-ute category. How about a Ford Escape Hybrid? It will probably be much less than $400 on lease.
The manual shift may be a problem though.
I believe the type of car you describe is an up-and-coming segment. I'd like a vehicle like this but instead of manual I'd want 4-wheel drive.
