Thanks for the follow up Chuck.

After I spoke to you I got some ss washers from Lowes that were 1mm thick. These worked great on the left side to give me about 1.5mm lateral play. I tried the same for the right side and I was too tight! No play,no drop. I switched the stock 2mm thick washers for the spacers and used the ss washers for the outside under the bolt heads. This gave me the lateral play of about 1.5mm for that side too.

It just shows how variable the cars are.

The cost for the extra fitting finessing amounted to $3.50. Not bad!
