Has anyone noticed that in the last five or so years, how many "Car shows for Charity" have been held in Cali.? Does anyone know how many countless millions have (and are being) been raised for things like the Junior Blind, Aids, MS, Breast Cancer, education , etc. ? Well if it wasn't for the 30 year old Classic, Antique, Euro sports or American muscle car , these shows would be empty. A.B.2683 is scapegoating our California car culture.
Besides seeing a Chevron tv ad for some healthy seagulls flying over some water...what did Cali oil refineries, and other heavy industrial polluters contribute to charities ? Grab a monthly mag called "Automotive Calendar of Events", published here in SoCal. In a given month there are dozens of Charitable car events going on, usually organized by grassroots people like yourself. What's the best choice, a well tuned 30 year old car, proll'y driven less than 10k miles a year- or a smokestack running 24/7 in El Segundo ?...do the math Arnold.
