Excellent usage of "douche" in a sentence, Mat. If you're really interested in the lexicon definition, the word comes from the German
douche which means "shower." For example, "Ich mochte eine douche machen" would be "I'd sure like to take a shower." In english, the term is applied to a feminine cleaning process and any equipment associated with said process. It has also been adapted in English slang as a derogatory term, though the transition seems a little unclear to me; why did "douche" make the successful transition to derogatory slang, but other similar words, say "razor" -- a product often used in the same feminine region -- utterly failed to make the cut?
Anyhow, enough semantics, can we get on with the serious name-calling and other political discussion?
