Wil,
On the contrary - you beat me to it by nine months (January 04 to October). I simply read this post first this time!
We use the yellow race shocks on our G-Stock 911, on both ends, and are very fond of them. They use a more-or-less standard single valve system which, contrary to "popular" belief, controls resistance to movement in both rebound and bump, at the rates of ~ (rebound = 3) : (bump = 1). Our understanding from Koni is that the adjustment acts primarily upon total resistance rather than velocity, which is sort of contrary to those shock dyno results you cited. ????
As a side note, we removed perfectly good, custom valved Bilstein sports from both ends, and purchased Boge struts in order to have the adjustability of these Konis. After all, we race in the Northeast - it isn't sunny and 80 degrees all the time!
